Located at 145 Rue de l'Atmosphère, the Association des résidents du Plateau (ARP) is preparing for an engaging event that highlights the entrepreneurial spirit among local youth. Scheduled for June 1st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the annual "Marché des petits entrepreneurs du Plateau" will be hosted at the Plateau Community Centre. In the event of heavy rain, the market will move indoors and take place from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
This initiative is part of a larger movement across Quebec to foster entrepreneurial skills among youth. "La grande journée des Petits Entrepreneurs," which started in Quebec City in 2014, has grown into a province-wide event, supported by major partners like the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Desjardins, and Énergir. Last year's edition saw nearly 8,000 young people participate, indicating the increasing enthusiasm for entrepreneurial education among young Quebecers. The market provides an ideal platform for young entrepreneurs to display their creativity and business acumen by selling their products and services to real customers. From handcrafted goods to unique services, the range of businesses is as diverse as the participants themselves.
Registration for the event is now open and potential young vendors are encouraged to secure their spots early. Interested parties can sign up at www.petitsentrepreneurs.ca by selecting the Plateau Market (ARP) from the available options. While some details of their business plans can be finalized later, securing registration early is crucial due to the popularity of the event. The ARP invites all aspiring young entrepreneurs in the Plateau area to join this vibrant market and start their journey in the world of business.
