Optimist Club is back with its famous Easter chocolate draw
Sonia Roy
This year, the tradition continues for the Club optimiste de Gatineau, which will be involved with local elementary schools to celebrate Easter. On April 13 and 14, five elementary schools received a visit from the Club (and their prizes - chocolates weighing 2kg!) during a draw organized by the organization. The students' participation in the draw was through a drawing made by each child. Two drawings per school were randomly selected from the entries received and the budding artists were awarded a sweet prize.
The Club optimiste de Gatineau is an organization that is involved with the youth and schools of Gatineau. The Optimist Club organizes several annual activities for youth, such as a Halloween candy giveaway, as well as several fundraisers (for underprivileged families, at Christmas, in collaboration with Fondation Santé Gatineau, and many others). The Club is part of the Association des gens d'affaires et professionnels de Gatineau (AGAP), which works in the local event and networking sector.
The Club optimiste de Gatineau would like to thank the participating elementary schools; École primaire Carle, École de l'Apprenti-Sage, École de l'Escalade, École de la Montée and École des Trois-Saisons.
