Old Gatineau’s Comité de vie de quartier’s party: the Club optimiste de Gatineau raffles off two bikes!

The Comité de vie de quartier du Vieux-Gatineau organized the return of the family event "Notre-Dame en fête!" for the 2022 season. This party, which is in its ninth edition, took place at the Propulsion Scène space and on the Notre-Dame market site in the Lac Beauchamp district on June 4. A barbecue was held for the occasion by the Knights of Columbus, as well as face painting, dancing, inflatable structures and music. During the lively day, the Club optimiste de Gatineau, which was among the community partners involved, held a draw for two Supercycle bicycles of the year, worth nearly $200 each. The draw, which was held among the children and youth in attendance, is not the first activity of its kind put together by the Club optimiste. Every year, this organization, which works with local youth and is committed to their personal development, participates and holds several activities and surprises for Gatineau schools (Halloween candy distribution, Easter chocolate draw, local events and more). Other partners of the party included the Maison de quartier Notre-Dame, the Centre de sécurité alimentaire de Gatineau, the Centre de pédiatrie sociale de Gatineau, the FO, Tremplin and the Comité de vie de quartier du Vieux-Gatineau.
