The Gatineau Health Foundation is set to hold a Golf Tournament to benefit Monique's Dreams at Club de golf Tecumseh, 475 rue Saint-Louis, Gatineau, QC, Canada, on August 11, 2023. The event will cost $125 for four players, including a golf cart, lunch-box, and raffle.
Monique's Dreams is a fundraising activity that celebrates the life, courage, determination, and strength of people with cancer. The primary objective of this event is to support people undergoing surgery for breast cancer by providing them with free post-operative clothing designed explicitly for fragile skin. All profits raised will be used to purchase these clothes and for breast cancer research.
In addition to post-operative gowns, the Les Rêves de Monique campaign will also fund two significant cancer research projects. One of the projects is an innovative and promising treatment against breast cancer to prolong life and improve the quality of life of patients.
The Golf Tournament is an opportunity for people to support cancer research and provide much-needed support for cancer patients. To register to play golf, participants need to provide their names and phone numbers and return them to lucie300@sympatico.ca. Participants are also required to make a check payable to Les Rêves de Monique and send it to Lucie Lacombe, 469 Craik Street, Gatineau, Quebec.
The Golf Tournament in Support of Breast Cancer Research is gearing up for success thanks in part to the dedication and passion of its coordinator, Lucie Lacombe. Lacombe, who herself is a breast cancer survivor, feels a deep sense of duty to give back to those who are going through what she once did. "I am very honoured to be the coordinator for this event and I am very glad to be able to make a difference," Lacombe said. "As a breast cancer survivor, I feel it is my turn to pay it forward and give back to others who are going through it."
This event not only raises crucial funds for breast cancer research but also serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting those affected by the disease. Lacombe's dedication along with The Gatineau Health Foundation and Monique's Dreams combine to serve as an inspiration to all who participate in the tournament and to those who benefit from its proceeds. The event promises to be an exciting and impactful day in support of an important the cause.
