The meeting, which focused on “flourishing the culture in Gatineau”, focused on upcoming events organized by the committee. The Commission du vivre-ensemble met for a second time to discuss their plans to enrich the culture in Gatineau. The second session was held Friday from 9 am to 11:45 am on the second floor of La maison du citoyen in La salle des comités.
The meeting started with a briefing of the topics covered during the first session, followed by an information session to introduce the committee’s upcoming projects. The first project, which will be for the actions against racism week, presented in the form of a video describing the events planned for March 21 to 31 and later broken down in more detail. Later, the committee will introduce the 2023 Gathering of Indigenous People and Quebec Municipalities in Gatineau and wrap up with details on the status of each project.
Following a 20-minute presentation surrounding culture in Gatineau, members of the public were invited to participate starting at 10:30 am.
The last presentation of the day was a plan of action focused on the Gatineau police so they can better offer their services to diverse communities in the city. Once again, members of the public are encouraged to participate in the discussions.
