Councillor: Louis Sabourin
Limbour District (10)
A few words on his mandate to date:
The Limbour district councillor, who is also president of the Commission Gatineau, ville en santé, a member of the Comité de travail en matière de participation citoyenne and a member of the Commission jeunesse, said he was satisfied with his mandate so far: "This is a unique experience! Serving the citizens of Limbour is an incredible opportunity. Since my arrival in office, several projects to improve services to citizens have been carried out, including the repair of the Sentier du Vallon and the Parcours santé at René-Lévesque Park.” "I also have the opportunity to chair the Commission Gatineau, ville en santé. Thanks to the work of the commission, free play in the street is allowed on most local streets in Gatineau," added the councillor. Like many of his colleagues on the city council, Louis Sabourin continues to devote significant efforts to the housing file in Gatineau: "I am also working hard to propose tangible and lasting solutions to alleviate the housing crisis.”
A few words on the important files in 2023:
The councillor explains that the district of Limbour will continue to stand out this year because of its neighbourhood life: "As every year, the Limbour Residents' Association (Association des résidents de Limbour) organizes several neighbourhood parties. The next such gathering will take place on February 19, 2023 at René-Lévesque Park. I invite all residents to attend in large numbers.” He adds: "In Limbour, we are privileged to have access to beautiful trails and green spaces that are accessible to everyone. The Parc René-Lévesque Health Trail is a great way to get some outdoor exercise. We have very involved community organizations that contribute to a lively and stimulating neighbourhood life!” Louis Sabourin had a few words to say about some of the development issues in his district: "Council members will be called upon to vote on many important issues this year and I know that the citizens of Limbour are eagerly awaiting the new snow removal policy that should be presented to us in the spring.”
Finally, the councillor stressed the importance of the community and the district's neighbourhood association: "Throughout the year, residents are fortunate to be able to participate in dozens of activities organized in Limbour. I encourage all residents to follow the activities of the Limbour Residents' Association and other community organizations in the district. Their contact information will be included in the next Limbour Bulletin which will be distributed shortly.”
