Christmas for kids: the Club optimiste de Gatineau gets involved!
Sonia Roy
Pastry lovers and sweet tooths, it's time to treat yourself for a good cause! The Club optimiste de Gatineau, a well-known organization that works with young people in the Outaouais region through various activities (draws, donations and creative projects), is organizing a fundraiser whose profits will go towards making gift packages for children in the region. By purchasing a fruit cake confectioned by the Club optimiste de Gatineau (sliced cake made with real butter of 900 g each), you will contribute to the Christmas and holiday season of several young people in Gatineau, who will receive a gift, pyjamas, a toque and mittens. This year's gourmet novelty is available for $25 each. To place an order, interested parties are invited to contact the Club's treasurer, Lucie Brunette, either directly through the group's Facebook page or by writing to luciebrunette@gmail.com.
The Club optimiste de Gatineau is ending the year 2022 on a high note with their participation in several local initiatives: in addition to the holiday fruitcake sale, the Club (through the grouping of Clubs optimistes of the Grand Gatineau area) recently made a $900 donation to the Moisson Outaouais organization as part of their "healthy snack" campaign, as well as a $150 donation to the 46th Draveur Scouts group.
