31st Edition of Gatineau Triathlon Set to Take Place in July 2023

The 31st edition of the Gatineau Triathlon presented by Première Générale is set to take place on Saturday, July 8, 2023, on the beautiful site of Lac Leamy Park. The event, organized by the Club Espoir Triathlon Gatineau, will feature 19 races for athletes of all levels and ages, including triathlons of Olympic, Sprint, and Super Sprint/Initiation distances, as well as five races of the Quebec Cup series and a range of races for children aged 6 to 15.
The Gatineau Triathlon is also the site of the Canadian Forces National Triathlon Championship, and some races offer qualifying positions for the 2024 World Triathlon Championships. The event has been recognized for its quality, having won the National Event of the Year award from Triathlon Québec in 2022 and the Vivat d'écoresponsabilité award from the Conseil Québécois des Événement ÉcoResponsables in 2021. It is also a finalist for the National Sport Event of the Year at the Sport Québec Gala, with the winner to be announced on May 11.
The Gatineau Triathlon is a Gold TQ certified event, the highest level of certification for eco-responsible events in Quebec, and is at the forefront of best practices and a leader in eco-responsible events in Quebec. The event aims to give amateur and elite athletes the chance to excel in triathlon, duathlon or running, support young triathletes in the region in their development, and encourage sports tourism in the Outaouais region. As a non-profit event, all profits are donated to the Club Espoir Triathlon Gatineau, whose mission is to promote and develop triathlon among youth aged 7 to 17 in the Outaouais region.
