The Quebec Anti-Pimping task force in the western region of the province, consisting of Sûreté du Québec and the Gatineau Police, has located 28-year old Jimmy Daquin, aka ‘’Don Shotta’’, from Gatineau. Pimping and human trafficking charges have already been laid against the accused.
Sûreté du Québec indicated that the accused was already detained in another case of assault with a weapon, death threats and kidnapping. The accused appeared in court on January 19 to face charges of causing a person to offer or render sexual services for hire and knowingly advertising to offer sexual services for hire.
Charges are in relation to events that took place between April 2019 and January 2022 in Gatineau and in other cities in different provinces. So far, the investigation suggests that the suspect may have had other victims and that he may have used the nickname "Don Shotta" in his social media exchanges.
This follows the recent country-wide search initiated by the same task force for Quebec’s most wanted man, 35-year-old Blake Charbonneau from Laval, accused of pimping multiple victims and committing armed sexual assaults.
Any person who has information about Jimmy Daquin or his activities may, at any time, transmit it in confidence to the Central Criminal Information Office of the Sûreté du Québec at 1-800-659-4264.
